I Representative of Foreign Media
The I visa is a nonimmigrant visa for persons entering the United States temporarily who are representatives of the foreign media traveling the U.S. to engage in their profession. To qualify for the I visa, a worker must:
Represent a foreign information media outlet (press, radio, film, or other foreign information media)
Be coming to the United States to engage solely in this profession
Have a home office in a foreign country
Occupations under this category include reporters, film crews, editors, and similar occupations.
